“ We just had dinner here and as always had an amazing time. Food came out on time and was on point. We love this place and the owner are very nice and courteous people. Thanks Isaac and Eri, we can't wait to eat here again ”
“ We always have a great experience here We Love Shio Fresh and delish drinks are excellent ”
“ Great spot for sushi! Easy to find, and lots of parking available. We stopped in on a Sunday, and were immediately greeted and seated. I love that they offer the traditional asian seating (shoes off), in a cool little space with nice lighting, as well as regular dining room seating and seating at the sushi bar. We ordered the side salads, vegetable tempura, and 4 sushi rolls (Susan, LahLah, MJ and Alison 2) - everything was delicious and fresh, and the service was very good. My favorites were the LahLah and Susan. The reason for 4 stars was because the sushi did take an oddly long amount of time to come out, but once it did it was very good! ”
“ I am an avid sushi eater, and this is one of the best places I've been to. I cannot speak highly enough of our server Ari, he checked our IDs and then knew our names for the rest of our courses! We got the avocado tuna salad which was tasty, light and refreshing. Then for rolls 1st was the lahlah roll, second was Tracey roll, both were flavorful and delish! I highly recommend shio, the service was impeccable. ”
“ Always an incredible experience at Shio. We came up from Boston to celebrate an anniversary on a Friday night. While we couldn't reserve a tatami room for 2, we were able to reserve a table up front in the traditional raised seating area (no shoes, table in stage, etc). I love how they serve hand towels here as well! Our server took our drink order right away and we ordered the tricolor don, red white and blue sushi and a Tracey roll. Tricolor don (salmon, tuna and yellowtail sashimi over a bed of well seasoned rice) was absolutely delicious! Not something I'd typically get, or see on a menu, but better than just the tricolor sushi! I would definitely get this again. The red, white and blue sushi was also very good and had tuna, salmon and yellowtail sushi with a tuna roll. The Tracey roll was absolutely delicious. Spicy crunchy Yellowtail, cucumber and crab meat topped with tuna, avocado, tobiko and wasabi mayo sauce. Perfect combo of spicy, sweet, savory, crunchy and soft. There are so many Chef speciality rolls to choose from, but I would get this one again. We always have great experiences here, can't wait for the next! ”
“ This place was packed and it was a weeknight. Although my in laws and hubby (who are caucasian) kept commenting that I was the only asian there, besides that waitstaff....whether that makes the packed place less significant, I don't know. Also, we wished we knew they had tatami rooms, kids would have loved to sit in there rather than in the main dining room My daughter orders her usual california roll and she gave that a thumbs up. The rest of us split the mixed maki. I can only vouch for the salmon because that's what I usually go for and it was very good and tasted fresh. We were jealous of the table next to us who's sushi came in a boat! ”
“ Far from our first time tonight. My wife and I and my daughter and her boyfriend reserved one of the tatami rooms, little dining sanctuaries for the Japanese nobility in ancient times. Now it's for serious sushi binges for the middle class I have a hard time not ordering the large Shio boat ($78.50) whenever I come here and this was no exception. I suggest you swap out whatever rolls come with it for your hand picked choices. Tonight we got the Rebecca roll, the Chanling roll and the Rob roll, with the Danny roll on the side. They were all at 11/10. I realized tonight I need to slow way down and savor each mouthful, eyes closed, exploring the beatific combinations of flavors. Yes Shio is a temple for taste buds. For dessert we enjoyed the ginger ice cream but the fried banana was overly mushy and sweet. For purposes of enhancing happiness, we need to worship here more often. ”
